Whew

watching/listening to: "The Amazing Race" on AXN

Where did the weekend go? I intended to write a nice, long update complete with photos from our field trip, but that will have to be put on hold. As I'm writing this, I'm printing out the photos to make a bulletin board sometime this week. My school encourages photo boards so visitors and parents can see what their kids are up to.

First off, thank you all for your positive energy and get well wishes for Sinbad. We went back to the vet on Saturday and the vet said everything looked okay. He removed the tumor in a small surgical procedure and Sinbad received 2 stitches and some more meds for the week. I'm just so relieved that it wasn't anything major and that the vet told me not to worry. We'll go back again next Saturday to have the stitches removed and hopefully that will be the end of the meds as well. The vet said that because of the meds, Sinbad's appetite and thirst will increase. Man, was he ever right. Sinbad is an eating machine!!! I am trying to monitor his weight, but you can tell he's ready to eat anything in sight. I haven't taken him to his favorite dog run or out shopping because I think it's best that he stays low-key while he's on medication. It hasn't mattered much since the weather has been so wet lately, but I know he's looking forward to playing outside again.

It rained pretty much all day today so Sinbad and I just relaxed at home. I was in pure lazy mode, but I think I deserved a lazy weekend after all the stuff that went down at work this week. No one still knows why Brihony left and I doubt we'll ever really know the truth. I think as the term starts winding down, people's tempers and stress levels are really sensitive. I just want to get through the term without any major drama. When it's announced to the kids and the parents that Ged is leaving, that is when our grade 3 drama is going to start. I will have to be the glue that holds everyone together.

Anyways, I'm going to close for now, but I'll be back soon with the photos and details of our field trip. It was an AMAZING trip and we all had an awesome time.
